Preparing your child for success beyond school

The final two years of High School are an exciting time for students as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journey. We recognise that every student is unique and their aspirations are also different. This is why we offer a variety of graduation pathways.

We are the first and only international school in Singapore authorised to offer the IB Diploma Programme (DP)  and the IB Career-related Programme (CP). All students have the opportunity to earn a GEMS (Singapore) High School Diploma regardless of the academic pathway chosen.

This enables us to provide the full set of academic and career-related IB options, taught by highly experienced teachers who want to encourage and inspire. Your child will pursue advanced work in subjects of individual interest while maintaining a broad and balanced education. They will embark on an exhilarating and inspiring journey, attaining the highest possible standards with the potential to enjoy a future at one of the world’s most prestigious universities.

Choosing the right pathway

GEMS (Singapore) offers an academically demanding and balanced programme of secondary years education that fosters a variety of academic and non-academic skills and abilities important for success during the transition from secondary school to university. We support our students in their endeavour to develop informed opinions and independent minds while also equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to realise their aspirations.

All GEMS (Singapore) students who successfully complete a selected course of study receive GEMS (Singapore) High School Diploma, which is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. In addition, to the High School Diploma pathway, GEMS (Singapore) offers the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and the IB Career-related Programme (CP) with advanced academic rigour in many subjects. Students can choose courses of study that specialise in particular areas of interest and ability or meet the admission requirements of more narrowly focused national education systems.

Your choice of the pathway should reflect your aptitudes, ambitions and interests. Your enjoyment of a subject or motivation provided by clear career aspirations should be critical factors in deciding which programme to study:

Unlimited global opportunities

As an IB World School with a highly diverse student population, our future graduates have their sights set on a wide range of different university and college options, including some of the world's most prestigious tertiary learning institutions. Our IB Diploma scores and results place students comfortably above the world average and, most importantly, enable them to choose the universities and colleges that will open up a world of opportunity.
